Hey, there this tutorial is about flashing or installing TWRP on your Micromax Canvas Nitro a311/a310. TWRP is a famous touch-based custom recovery. There are other custom recoveries around but many people including me prefer to use TWRP recovery.
A custom recovery is mandatory if you want to install or flash new ROMs or flash any other kind of mods or patches. Recoveries used to be boring and not very user-friendly not long ago. Anyways moving on. This will be a fairly short tutorial cause flashing recovery is not a very time-consuming job.
Okay then starting out with the link to the required files.
Compress files online before downloading You might wanna read.
UPDATE: TWRP 3.0.2 file was dropped for some reason. So below I updated the link to latest 3.1.1 but be aware that it is reported to misbehave with CM based ROM use it at your own risk.
1. Flash the ZIP via old recovery on Canvas a311/a310
If you are doing it for the first time on your device then skip this step. So if you are still reading then I’m assuming that you have already got some custom recovery flashed on your device. It may be that you are trying to update to a newer version of TWRP or maybe switching from some other custom recovery.
Whatever the case may be just go ahead and boot into your recovery and flash the freshly downloaded TWRP ZIP file. If everything went fine then you should be able to boot into TWRP 3.0 on your next boot into recovery. If for some reason you are not successful in flashing the new TWRP then follow along.
2. Flash TWRP via Mobile Uncle Tools on Canvas a311/a310

There are many other tools to flash the recovery out there. But we are using Mobile Uncle Tools to flash recovery on your Canvas a311/a310 because my first ever recovery flash was via Mobile Uncle Tools and for this tutorial I tested the process via this app. I’m kind of used to it.
- First of all, copy the downloaded recovery file to either to the root directory of internal storage or sd card and rename it to “recovery.img” make sure it is the only file with the name in your directory. I mean you could have renamed your old recovery file to “recovery.img” too in the past. So it could get confusing. I hope you got it.
- Launch Mobile uncle tools(provide SU permission to the app whenever asked for) and click on “Update recovery” option and it will scan for the files for a while then select “recovery.img” file. It will ask you to reboot into recovery, press yes and finally you will be booted into newly flashed TWRP recovery if everything went as expected.
I hope this tutorial helped you to flash TWRP on your Micromax Canvas Nitro a311/a310. If any queries or problems then comment down below I will respond as quickly as possible.
Have a good day.
